The Canadian Polish Congress, Kitchener District is very excited to announce that on Saturday, May 8, 2010 we are organizing Polish Day “A Taste of Poland” at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.

Poland is a nation endowed with a rich and colourful tapestry of culture and customs that has maintained its identity for more than 1,000 years. Over the centuries her children have found themselves all over the world, where they have made significant contributions and have added to the unique character of the new land they have called home. Poles have taken with them their traditions and their love of life and food. It is this love of life and food that the Polish Canadian Congress, Kitchener District and the Poles of Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo would like to share with all Canadians in this community. We would like to create an awareness of the many contributions Poles have made locally and internationally. You will be able to visit over 60 booths and browse for merchandise and souvenirs, buy a variety of delicious Polish food and enjoy ongoing entertainment. It will be a family celebration of dance, songs, cuisine and enjoyment. This will be an occasion to bring together all nationalities to promote understanding and good will.

Please come and join us in a Celebration of our community on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex, 101 Father David Bauer Drive, Waterloo, Ontario. The doors will be open from 12:00 noon until 10:00 P.M. For more information please contact Urszula Kudla, Chair at urszula@polishday.ca or call (519)590-2402
